Ms. Rania Ahmed

On the surface, Rania Ahmed is an English Social Studies Head of Department and teacher at Concord International College. With over 15 years of teaching experience, Rania always strives for excellence and works very diligently to prove herself. Moreover, she always ensures the viability of establishing a rapport with her students, colleagues and parents.

Rania was born on 22 of May 1976 in the city of Kuwait. Born to an Egyptian mother and a Jordanian father, Rania has always been interested in learning about various cultures. She went to Gulf English School of Kuwait till she was 14 years of age. Later on, and due to the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait, the family had to move back to Egypt. In Egypt, she joined Rajac International Schools where she graduated with from the IGCSE system.

Later on, her mother and father sent her to The Faculty of Hotels and Tourism, 6th of October University. She wasn’t very much interested in tourism as she always had a great passion for teaching. Consequently, she started teaching English at Cairo British School, in which she stayed for four years teaching and enjoying every minute of it. After that, she took on a new job teaching English Social Studies at Nefertari International School. She has taught both sections; The British and the American Sections. She stayed there for 9 years. Her next move was to Dover International School where she taught both English and English Social Studies to Grades 5 and 9. Her final move was to Concord International College where she has embarked on the journey of being a Social Studies teacher, as well as a Head of Department.

Because of her love for teaching and learning which are intrinsic to her nature, Rania joined many Professional Development courses throughout her working career. Mostly, these were workshops held by the British Council at NBIS related to Classroom Management, Types of Assessment and Dealing Adolescents.
